Stellar Program
Solutions
Propelling People and Performance
I'm Wren Elise Fair, PMP, founder of Stellar Program Solutions. I lead large, complex, cross-functional programs for organizations whose internal efforts have stalled: aligning stakeholders, managing risk, and delivering on schedule. I start where the work actually happens — on the roof, on the road, in the field.
The gap
The status update is not the whole story
There is what the executive status update says, and there is what is actually happening on the phones, in the stores, in the field. The two are never quite the same, and the difference is usually where the problem lives.
The people driving your numbers almost always know why the numbers look the way they do. Often they already have a fix, or a better way to use a tool you already own. What they lack is a mechanism for that knowledge to reach the people steering the program. I build that mechanism, and then I use it.
It is a different approach from command-and-control, and from plans that look complete in the boardroom and fail on the ground.
"Until you talk to the people actually driving the numbers — not their boss, or their boss's boss — you won't actually know what's going on, what the true problem is, or how to fix it."The first pillar of my theory of program management
Who I work with
Who Finds Value Here
You have a program at risk
You are a Chief Revenue Officer, a VP of Operations, or a VP of Finance with a program that is blocking revenue or consuming cash, and internal efforts have not resolved it. You need someone who can assess it quickly, align the stakeholders, and get it moving.
You need a senior technical program manager on contract
PMP certified, MSc in Major Programme Management from the University of Oxford, ten years across solar, construction, technology and finance programs: transformations, ERP and CRM implementations, new product introduction, executive governance. $120/hour for contract work; corp-to-corp or 1099.
You are planning a leadership retreat or an all-hands
Leadership retreats, corporate meetings and quarterly summits, from venue and agenda to facilitation and the structured outputs your leaders take back to the business. Programs designed as experiences.
How I engage
Two ways to bring me in
Every engagement begins the same way: discovery with your team, a program structure with named sponsors and workstream leaders, KPIs with a mechanism to keep tracking them, and a kick-off that secures buy-in before delivery begins. Then you choose how long I stay. Either level applies to any service.
I build the program and hand it to your team, fully briefed. Two to three weeks at most.
Everything in Set Up & Launch, and I lead the program through delivery and final sign-off.
Let's talk about your program
A short conversation is enough to tell whether I'm the right fit. If I'm not, I'll point you to who is.
